I’m writing to you from the Philippines, and I wish I could say it’s good news. Just hours ago, I received a call that made my heart sink.
The local police have informed us about a dog meat trader who is actively slaughtering dogs for human consumption. It’s horrifying to think about. These dogs—frightened, helpless, and trapped—are being brutally killed.
The police are ready to work with us to shut this operation down. They’ve given us the green light to rescue these dogs, arrest the offender, and dismantle this cruel trade. But there’s one enormous obstacle standing in our way: our budget is depleted.
This month, we’ve poured everything into other critical dog meat trade investigations. These efforts have already saved lives and brought justice, but now, we don’t have the resources to act on this urgent case.
I’m here on the ground, ready to make this operation happen. But I can’t do it alone. I need your help to make this happen, Friend.
