It’s Greg here, writing to you from the frontlines in the Philippines. I need to share something that’s been weighing heavily on my mind.

When we rescued Blair, she had a thin piece of metal wire tied tightly around her nose. The wire was cutting into her skin, making it nearly impossible for her to breathe, bark, or even eat. She was crammed into a tiny, filthy cage, surrounded by other terrified dogs. They could see, hear, and smell what was coming.

This is the horrifying reality of the dog meat trade. Dogs like Blair are often stolen from loving homes or grabbed off the street. They are tied up, their mouth and legs painfully bound with wire, and thrown into overcrowded cages.

The slaughter is even worse. Some are beaten to death. Others have their throats slit while fully conscious. Many are blowtorched alive, their fur burned off as they scream in agony.
