Police Officers recently uncovered a horrifying scene at Little Friends Pet Lodge, an animal boarding and grooming facility.
Investigators found 87 dogs and cats dead in a freezer and more than four dozen animals suffering in appalling conditions.
Floors and kennels were caked in fecal matter, the stench of urine was overwhelming, and the animals were deprived of adequate food and water. The owner of this facility has been charged with 51 counts of animal cruelty and confining animals without sufficient food.
These innocent animals did not deserve to suffer, Friend. The families of these beloved pets trusted the facility with their care, only to be met with unthinkable tragedy. Most of the deceased animals were found in such a condition that the forensic veterinarian could not determine how they died.
Sign our petition to press the Quincy-Gadsden State Attorney to prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law. We also demand a lifetime ban on this individual from ever caring for animals again.
