Two days ago, our animal rescue officers responded to a distressing call in Wales. A local resident had noticed a cat in their garden, and what we found when we arrived was truly heart-wrenching.
Sasha, the cat, was in severe pain. She had been suffering from an eye infection so bad that it had sealed her eye shut. The other eye was also infected, and she may lose sight in both eyes if we don't act now. Sasha was also malnourished, painfully thin, and starving, weighing 1kg less than she should be.
The vets were unable to open her infected eye due to the severity of the infection. Sasha's condition is critical, and she needs immediate medical attention.
