This tragic story unfolded in Indianapolis, where Deron was adopted on July 28, only to be found lifeless, abused, and discarded in a trash can just nine days later.
Eyewitness accounts have painted a harrowing picture of Deron's final moments. Witnesses reported seeing a man brutally stabbing Deron while he was helplessly hanging from a leash on the front porch. The barbarity didn't end there; Deron was then suffocated with a trash bag, all while onlookers stood by in shock. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) was alerted by concerned citizens and, upon investigation, discovered the bloodied body of Deron along with the instruments of his torture.

They now face charges that include animal cruelty and resisting law enforcement.
