On this International Dog Day, as we celebrate the profound bond between humans and dogs, it's imperative to shed light on the unimaginable suffering that countless dogs endure due to the crude and barbaric practices of the dog meat trade. The horrors these animals face are nothing short of heartbreaking. Most commonly, the techniques employed in this trade include drowning, bludgeoning, stabbing, boiling, or even blowtorching these sentient beings while they are still alive.
The depths of this cruelty are further exemplified by the deplorable conditions in which these innocent creatures await their gruesome fate. Dogs are confined in filthy pits and cages, their fear and helplessness unimaginable. One by one, individual animals are seized with large metal tongs, yanked out of their cages, and subjected to unspeakable cruelty. For those destined to be drowned, dogs are transferred into smaller holding cages, only to be lowered into putrid pits of water until their lives are extinguished.
