Today, we urgently need your help in saving a life that has been shattered by cruelty and violence. Betty, a 10-month old German Shepherd, has become a symbol of hope and resilience in the face of unimaginable suffering.

Over the weekend, Betty was playing with children on a playground near occupied Zaporizhia in war-torn Ukraine, spreading joy and laughter.

She nuzzled their hands and ran around, delighting the children with her playful spirit. But, not everyone there saw Betty for the gentle soul that she is.

A few frightened mothers, not fond of dogs, began to scream and chase Betty away. It was then that a man appeared and, in front of the terrified children, shot Betty in the spine with a pistol.

She fell to the ground, squealing in pain, and the man proceeded to kick her mercilessly as she lay there, paralyzed and crying.
