Justice for a Stray Dog's Murder in Nepal

The Issue

On around May 21, 2020, a video was posted on Facebook, on different animal lovers pages, showing a gruesome death of a stray dog. The same video, resurfaced on May 24, 2020 after someone shared the story. The original poster mentioned, they were feeding some stray dogs in her area, from sometime, and the dog (the one who was murdered) ) happened to fall victim to the criminal’s (neighbor) rage as another dog killed the man’s chicken. Because of this, the neighbor decided the hail this dog with stones. And chased to kill the other dog too. The poor innocent kid died in a painful and torturous way, suffering for almost half an hour. We have since, been trying to convince the original poster to file a complain against the man to the police. She clearly declined and have deleted the video evidence since. The murderer is apparently, someone renowned, this might be the reason for her denial to report. There aren't any strict rules for animal abuse in Nepal, especially to these stray animals who aren't protected by any laws. Penalty could be as low as $83 for such heinous crime. A slap on the wrist.

We don't have backups in this case. Without a proper law to protect these animals, no one can lift a finger at these criminals and no one will come to stand with us due to the fear of what these people are capable of. And we are getting heaps of animal abuse reported on Facebook pages and the numbers are rising day by day. We need your help. Please sign the petition, to force the law enforcement to at least reprimand the criminal, if they cannot punish. With this petition, we beg and plead you, for justice for that little boy and a substantial animal rights law to come to pass, for the protection for a millions more.

Please share this petition link to your friends and families. We need as much supporter as we can get.
