Pro-vivisection public relations company 'Understanding Animal Research' (UAR) has published a letter on twitter objecting to a petition created by patients with life threatening illnesses, who understand that animal experiments are delaying the arrival of effective treatments and cures. Each time the patient's petition is signed its letter arrives in the email of the personnel who work at UAR, asking them to STOP WASTING TIME and SAVE LIVES! Please support these patients, SIGN and SHARE their petition widely: https://www.change.org/p/stop-wasting-time-and-submit-the-name-of-your-scientist-for-the-debate-to-which-you-have-repeatedly-agreed This petition was launched to support many MPs who are signing Parliamentary Early Day Motions, calling for UAR to honor their agreement to take part in a scientific debate with highly qualified medical experts who provide the MP's evidence. The conditions for this debate have been endorsed by Britain's foremost human rights defence barrister Michael Mansfield QC. Please like the new Patients Campaigning For Cures (PCFC): https://www.facebook.com/patientsforcures Further info: UAR are trying to avoid a highly focused scientific debate, to which they have repeatedly and publicly agreed via the twitter platform. UAR's agreement states that the debate will be organised by the science-based campaign For Life On Earth (FLOE). FLOE's medical evidence is illustrated by the experts at Europeans For Medical Advancement (EFMA), whose entire scientific concern addresses the false claim that animal experiments can 'predict' human responses. The word 'predict' is central to every scientific paper and book published by EFMA, who have proved that animal experiments are an invalid research method for human patients. So by agreeing to a debate organised by FLOE, UAR are surely aware that the scientific debate motion could only focus on FLOE's clearly stated sole scientific concern: namely their opposition to the claim that animal experiments are able to 'predict' the responses of humans.
