Since we sent out our last update your videos have been pouring in. I am overwhelmed with the power of your stories, and the number of you who are gearing up to face birth and labor alone. 

Right now, only the New York Presbyterian and Mt. Sinai Hospital systems have in place "no-support" rules for labor and delivery and postpartum. I believe this is because of you! Your immense showing of support for birthing people everywhere has prevented these policies from spreading to other hospitals, public and private. Thank you!

As one of you said in your video submission: “Human rights and dignity cannot end in an epidemic.” Birthing people have a basic right to continuous support during labor, coronavirus or no.
