We are writing to the Governor to hold Onondaga County (local government that currently manages Onondaga Lake) to their promise to give a parcel of land back to the Onondaga Nation. This is a small piece of the Onondaga's original land, which includes the Lake, that NY State illegally took from the Nation (violated legal treaties). Onondaga Lake is a Superfund site and this land sits on the shore of the Lake across from the Onondaga Peace Center. We demand that the Honeywell Corporation, Onondaga County, and New York do a comprehensive cleanup and removal of all toxins from Onondaga Lake. Sacred sites cannot be polluted and profaned.

We ask for you to:

On December 31, 2019 we will be sending this petition to the Governor Cumo. After December 31 we will continue to work to hold the Onondaga County to their promise to return some of the land stolen from Onondaga Nation when New York State violated the treaties made with Onondaga Nation.
