Support green mobility in the form of a bike/pedestrian path on the Verrazzano Bridge, using one of its existing 13 lanes. We live in a time of climate crisis and increased economic uncertainty, and many would opt for transportation by bike if the infrastructure exists. Unfortunately, Robert Moses decided to scrap a bike/pedestrian lane on the Verrazzano and, for years, residents and groups (Harbor Ring, Transportation Alternatives and Bike South Brooklyn) on both sides of the bridge have fought to change this situation. The continuing lack of action by political leadership is unconscionable.
