We would like to thank the NYS Legislature for passing the Parole Officer Injury Parity Bill (A.1644/S.407) for the third consecutive time. Furthermore, we would like to thank the bill's sponsors (Robach/Skoufis) and the Public Employees Federation (PEF) and its Legislative Department for their hard work in getting this bill passed. This bill makes provisions for payment to certain Parole Officers employed by the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision for salary and medical expenses while subject to sickness.
