PHASE 3- BUT......... the language, the dismissal...

Yes, thankfully, they placed "Massage Therapy" into phase 3 of the re-opening phase here on Long Island NY.  They have classified it as Massage Parlor!!!   under personal care.  Completely disregarding or role in the medical field. The word is therapy!, and has the same relevance as physical Therapy, Mental therapy, all widely recognized and accepted into the medical field, and medical professionals.  NO different from those, as many of our clients know, what we do as Licensed Massage Therapist is much more than luxury, or in some cases optional.  It is essential and key to our clients everyday well being, physically, and emotionally.  We need to change the language, to change the mindset. 

Help us change the language. Share our petition, share it on all media platforms, and help all us LMTS be recognized for what we truly are, and placed amongst the healthcare professionals where we belong!

THIS HEADLINE PHOTO IS NOT OK! one of the main reasons they say we fall in an in between place is because of how our profession is regulated!  have you any other industry more poorly regulated than nail salons?!!!     

Separate Therapeutic Massage therapy, Medical Massage therapy, Osteopathic Manual Therapy from Spas, from Nails Salons, from massage parlors(which arent even legal, do they even exist anymore? i thought they were called Foot Spas now!).   

LETS EDUCATE OUR GOVT OFFICIALS!
