Good morning, 

We are now about to reach our second milestone -- 1000 signatories. Although this open letter was designed for members of our law community across Canada, it has also received support from outside that community, both in Canada and in the United States. 

In my first update, I provided a few examples of signatories. You can review that earlier update on this site. However, ALL signatories are important. That isn't merely a platitude. As the numbers increase, people are beginning to take notice. (More about that in a subsequent update.) We are creating a coalition based on respectful dialogue and on rejection of intimidation, incitement to violence and its celebration. It is sorely needed.  

In my first update, I described the diversity of signatories. Today, I wish to emphasize the geographical breadth of this initiative. In addition to the almost 1000 signatures added to the open letter so far, it has been viewed over 150,000 times. So thank you for your support and for your ongoing distribution.
