Justice for Sia Fayiah

Justice for Sia Fayiah
The Issue
On Saturday the 6th of June 2020, a woman of colour by the name of Sia Fayiah experience police brutality in Mountmelick, County Laois. Sia was driving with her husband when Gardaí stopped her, saying the car she was driving was not hers. Within the car she had the log book in her name to prove the car was hers. They asked for insurance on the car. Sia was waiting for her certificate in the mail and had an email to prove so yet they would not let her show them the email. The police should have given her 7 days to produce the needed details and proof that the car is her own yet they threw her onto the ground. She went unconscious and they still handcuffed her and arrested her. Gardaí surrounded Sia and her husband and took the car. This petition is being made on behalf of Sia and her family and I urge you to sign it and donate where possible. The Gardaí involved must be held accountable for the injustice treatment towards Sia. It is unjust and cannot be tolerated anymore. Racial prejudice and discrimination is rampant in the world we live in, it has affected too many people and it will go on no longer. We need justice for Sia Fayiah and the racial discrimination she experienced. Please share the petition, Thank you.
