This is what we are fighting against - Food must be able to be purchased with cash.

To ensure that cash is available to everyone who needs it, cash must be generally accepted by retailers, especially supermarkets and shops selling food and essential groceries.

Cash is the lifeblood of communities, powering small businesses. Without cash, towns and suburbs suffer and retailers are burdened with high fees and charges from banks.

The cash distribution system needs cash to be generally accepted everywhere or else costs pile up and delivering cash becomes uneconomic.

As soon as power goes out or the internet goes down whole towns shut down, unless cash is already available locally.

NOW a senate committee is looking into these issues so NOW is the time to share our petition and promote it to everyone you know. This is what our petition is asking:

We call for an Australian Banking and Cash Guarantee that includes these rights:

1)      All Australians must be able to have reasonable local access to cash and full banking services. 

2)      All Australians must be able to choose cash when paying for food and essentials at physical retailers.
