Estimado señor presidente Donald Trump:

Nosotros, el pueblo, de manera respetuosa y pacífica, venimos a usted con una propuesta para una solución a las actuales deportaciones masivas de inmigrantes. Entendemos que algunas deportaciones deben realizarse, pero hay muchos buenos inmigrantes que no merecen ser deportados. Oramos para que escuche nuestra súplica y le dé una oportunidad a nuestra propuesta.

Soy una inmigrante que llegó a Estados Unidos cuando era una niña, junto con mi hermano menor, mi madre y mi padre. Luchamos para superar numerosos desafíos y finalmente obtuvimos nuestro estatus legal. Trabajamos diligentemente, nuestros esfuerzos siempre guiados por la promesa del sueño americano, y lo logramos. Ahora, no solo somos ciudadanos orgullosos de esta tierra de oportunidades, sino que estamos criando a nuestros hijos estadounidenses aquí. Aprendimos el idioma de esta nación, vivimos según las leyes de esta nación, pagamos nuestros impuestos y contribuimos a la economía de esta nación. Nuestras vidas están profundamente entrelazadas con el tejido de esta nación. Irnos sería inimaginable. Para ser honesto, no tendríamos idea de cómo sobrevivir en otro país, ya que toda nuestra vida está aquí. Así como Estados Unidos es su hogar, Estados Unidos también es nuestro hogar.

Es desde este contexto que le pedimos, señor presidente Donald Trump, que declare una amnistía migratoria. Este acto de clemencia despejaría el camino para miles de personas trabajadoras que actualmente viven en Estados Unidos bajo la sombra de las leyes de inmigración. Estos inmigrantes son personas que luchan por una vida mejor, al igual que mi familia y yo lo estuvimos alguna vez. Ofrecerles amnistía es una forma de reconocer sus contribuciones e integrarlos a la corriente principal de la sociedad.

Usted es un hombre de negocios y comprende que los inmigrantes son la columna vertebral de nuestro país. Muchas industrias dependen de la mano de obra inmigrante para cubrir puestos esenciales, en particular en la agricultura, la construcción y los servicios. Brindar amnistía garantiza una fuerza laboral estable y legal, apoyando a estos sectores críticos. Los inmigrantes no solo son esenciales para cubrir las brechas laborales, sino que los inmigrantes indocumentados contribuyen significativamente a la economía a través del trabajo, los impuestos y el gasto de los consumidores. La amnistía les permitiría trabajar legalmente, aumentando los ingresos fiscales y la actividad económica.

Nuestra propuesta es la siguiente: Conceder amnistía migratoria a los inmigrantes que la merecen. Los inmigrantes trabajadores, responsables y que pagan sus impuestos. Aquellos que han estado aquí durante años contribuyendo a este país. Examinarlos a través del proceso de solicitud. Verificar antecedentes penales, investigar cuánto tiempo han estado en los Estados Unidos. Aquellos que no cumplan con los requisitos que usted establezca, pueden irse. Nosotros, el pueblo, estamos de acuerdo en que queremos que Estados Unidos sea seguro, ya que aquí es donde criamos a nuestros hijos. ¡A cambio de esta amnistía, usted hará que Estados Unidos vuelva a ser grande! Esto tendrá un impacto inmenso en nuestra economía. Usted establece la cantidad que debe pagarse para procesar cada solicitud. En lugar de gastar dinero en deportaciones masivas, puede generar dinero a través de esta amnistía. Si su temor es que alguno de estos inmigrantes solicite beneficios financieros, también puede optar por agregar una cláusula que establezca que los inmigrantes que se legalicen a través de esta amnistía no puedan tener acceso a la ayuda financiera del gobierno, como Medicaid, cupones de alimentos, etc. Sr. Presidente Donald Trump, tendrá la libertad de establecer los requisitos que crea que deben cumplirse para que un inmigrante obtenga su estatus legal. Entonces verás que los inmigrantes realmente solo quieren estar aquí legalmente, contribuir a nuestro país y simplemente hacer las cosas de la manera correcta.

Le instamos, señor presidente Donald Trump, a que autorice una amnistía migratoria y preste voz a los millones de personas que luchan por su sueño americano. Imploramos a todos y cada uno de los que lean esto que firmen nuestra petición. Apóyennos y ayúdennos a marcar una diferencia significativa; nuestro país realmente lo necesita.

Dear Mr President Donald Trump,

We the people, respectfully and peacefully, come to you with a proposition for a solution to the current, mass immigration deportations. We understand that some deportations must be done but there are many, good immigrants that do not deserve to be deported. We pray that you listen to our plea and give our proposition a chance. 

I am an immigrant who came to America as a child, along with my younger brother, mother and father. We fought our way through numerous challenges and eventually earned our legal status. We worked diligently, our efforts always guided by the promise of the American dream, and we succeeded. Now, not only are we proud citizens of this land of opportunities, we are blessedly raising our American children here. We learned this nation’s language, we live by this nation’s laws, we pay our taxes and we contribute to this nation’s economy. Our lives are deeply interwoven with this nation's fabric. Leaving would be unimaginable. To be quite honest, we would have no idea how to survive in another country, as our entire lives are here. Just like America is your home, America is also our home. 

It is from this background that we appeal to you, Mr President Donald Trump, to declare an immigration amnesty. This act of clemency would clear the path for thousands of hardworking individuals who are currently living in the U.S. under the shadow of the immigration laws. These immigrants are people striving for better lives, much like my family and I once were. Offering them amnesty is a way to recognize their contributions and integrate them into the societal mainstream.

You are a businessman and you understand that Immigrants are the back bone of our country. Many industries rely on immigrant labor to fill essential roles, particularly in agriculture, construction, and services. Providing amnesty ensures a stable and legal workforce, supporting these critical sectors. Not only are immigrants essential for filling labor gaps, undocumented immigrants contribute significantly to the economy through labor, taxes, and consumer spending. Amnesty would allow them to work legally, increasing tax revenues and economic activity.

Our proposition is as follows:  Grant immigration amnesty to deserving immigrants. The hard working, tax paying, responsible immigrants. Those whom have been here for years contributing to this country. Screen them through the application process. Check for criminal backgrounds, investigate how long they have been in the United States. Those whom don’t meet the requirements you set, can go. We the people agree that we want America to be safe, as this is where we raise our children. In exchange for this amnesty, you will make America great again! This will have an immense impact on our economy. You set the amount that must be paid to process each application. Instead of spending money on mass deportations, you can generate money through this amnesty. If your fear is any of these immigrants applying for financial benefits, you may also choose to add a clause that immigrants whom are legalized through this amnesty cannot have access to government financial aid such as Medicaid, food stamps, etc. Mr. President Donald Trump, you will have the freedom to set the requirements that you believe must be met for an immigrant to earn their legal status. You will then see that immigrants truly just want to be here legally, contribute to our country and simply do things the right way. 

We urge you Mr. President Donald Trump to authorize  an immigration amnesty, and lend a voice to the millions wrestling with their American dream. We implore each and everyone who reads this, to sign our petition. Stand with us, and help us make a meaningful difference, our country truly needs this.
