Calling on the Government of Cameroon to release Professor Awasum and 11 others.

Calling on the Government of Cameroon to release Professor Awasum and 11 others.
The Issue
Professor Awasum and 11 others were rounded up by the Nigerian Department of State Security in Abuja Nigeria when they were having a meeting on how they could alleviate the sufferings of Cameroonian refugees in Nigeria. They were held in Nigeria for about 3 weeks and then handed over to the Government of Cameroon. They have been tagged terrorists by the Cameroon government and are likely to face unfair hearing and torture.
Professor Awasum is not a terrorist as has been reported here: http://punchng.com/cameroon-anglophone-separatist-leader-extradited-from-nigeria/ He is a very responsible and respectable academic. One who cares about the lives and well being of people, no matter where they come from. He has contributed immensely to the educational system of Nigeria where he has worked for over 20 years and trained over 1000 Veterinary Surgeons. He is never a terrorist and should not be treated as one. His contribution to education cannot be overemphasized and we dearly want him back as our lecturer and colleague.
Amongst those who were also extradited are Dr Henry Kimeng who is also an associate professor of Civil Engineering, Dr Cornelius Kwanga a lecturer, Dr Ogork Ntui a lecturer, Dr Fidelis Nde Che a lecturer, Barrister Blaise Berinyu, Mr Tussang Wolfred, Dr Nfor Ngala, Barrister Eyambe Elias, Dr Ojong Okongho, Mrs Nalowa Bih a lawyer and Sisuku Ayuk Tabe. The concern of these gentlemen and lady for the well being of humans do not classify them as terrorists.
We are calling on the Cameroonian government to release Professor Awasum and 11 others who have been unfairly kept in their custody.
