Cashless IPD facility by UTIITSL has proved most dissatisfactory. Today one finds a hospital providing this facility and the next day it refuses to offer cashless.
The reason is that CGHS is little interested in AI retirees otherwise if a hospital on its panel refuses cashless facility, the CGHS should view it seriously and at least warn the hospital. CGHS feels by sending a letter to hospital for cashless facility to AI retirees as per the directions of the government, their job is over.
Frankly speaking even the so called our own Air India Assets Holding Ltd (AIAHL) does not seem to have shown their concern for us retirees.
UTIITSL takes 4 to 5 months minimum to finalise our hospital bills.
AIAHL also does not seem to have shared the agreement with UTIITSL with our Association. Shouldn't the retirees know some details regarding hearing aids, denture and specs etc.
Even the common man is in a better position as some governments are offering them medical insurance upto ₹25Lakh.
IPD facility through CGHS is out of question. But the govt at least can ensure that hospitals on CGHS panel dare not refuse the facility. Since we are not a sizeable vote bank for them, they do not bother for us.
