Since the late 70s early 80s, the American Red Cross has banned any homosexual male from donating blood due to the AIDS crisis. We are now in 2020 during a pandemic and this ban still stands. Even though every donator is screened for HIV/AIDS, the organization refuses to lift the ban. Now the White House and Senate are requesting all citizens donate blood during this pandemic. Sign this petition and stop the American Red Cross from banning perfectly good and useable blood simply based on their sexual orientation! This ban should’ve been lifted years ago, nows the time to actually MAKE IT HAPPEN!
