My wife and I are passionate motorcyclists, who revel in exploring America's magnificent national parks. However, a current regulation of the America the Beautiful parks pass undermines motorcyclists like us. Presently, the pass only covers one motorcycle, leading to an extra financial burden for us as we ride separate motorcycles. Yet, a van carrying up to 15 passengers is covered by a single pass. This discrepancy seems exceedingly unfair.

Over four million motorcycles are registered in the U.S. annually, as per the Federal Highway Administration, indicating a high potential number of riders impacted by this regulation. Urging an amendment to include two motorcycles per pass would introduce equity in the policy, benefiting numerous motorcycle riding enthusiasts as well as reducing needless additional expenditures.

The essence of our national parks is democratically shared beauty and awe, accessible to all regardless of their preferred mode of transportation. We haven't asked for special treatment, but merely equality – to enjoy America's scenic landscapes without an unreasonable financial penalty.
