Hello, my name is Bobby Evans Jr with Anytime Dispatching, Inc. We represent dump truckers of the construction industry. Dump truckers have been lumped into the AB5 law, initially aimed at gig workers. The gig workers got out, many other professions have received exemptions, and dump truckers have been left holding the bag. In short, this law will make dump truckers, who own and operate their own business and dump trucks, into employees of bigger dump trucking businesses. As a result, thousands of small businesses will be wiped out and swallowed by a bigger business.

Allowing dump truckers to be exempt, like other professions (hair stylists, doctors, nurses, lawyers, musicians, therapists, artists etc.), will save the pride and joy so many of us, as small business owners, have worked hard to build. Our small businesses have allowed us to provide for our homes, spend more time with our family and children, be able to save for future generations, and have a successful business to pass on to future generations.

We have been protesting for over a year at our local officials' offices, but we strongly believe the additional support from Californians will finally get Governor Newsom's attention. We know Californians favor small businesses and the right to choose. So please join us in signing this petition to save small businesses and supporting our choice to remain small business owners!
