Last year, WE tv decided to cancel its legal drama- The Divide- after only one season. I've started this petition hoping to either convince WE to reverse its decision, or to appeal to other networks that might be interested in picking up this series.

I believe The Divide is not only a compelling, well-written, and well-acted series; I believe it contributes something of great value to both television and our level of debate about the death penalty and the sociopolitical forces behind our justice system.

The Divide has been well received by critics, and it has been praised for its moral complexity and its transcendence of racial and gender stereotypes.  Unfortunately, it premiered on a network not known for scripted dramas, and it was poorly promoted. I truly believe that, if given the opportunity, The Divide could become a very popular and successful series.
