We have just heard that Ntambwe's hearing has been re-scheduled for this Tuesday, 30th October, at IAC Bradford. His lawyer will be making the case to the Secretary of State for Ntambwe to remain in this country. The case will be heard at some point during the day after 10am. Friends, family and supporters will gather at the court at this time to watch the court proceedings and demonstrate their solidarity with Ntambwe to the court.

The address is IAC Bradford, Phoenix House, Rushton Avenue, Thornbury, Bradford BD3 7BH.

Ntambwe was detained by the Home Office at the beginning of November 2017 and nearly deported to his home country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he faces retribution for his ongoing opposition to the political regime. DRC is hostile to critics of the regime and they are often tortured and 'disappeared'. Ntambwe is a member of the Congolese resistance alliance APARECO and he has been seeking asylum in the UK since 2001, when he arrived in this country having escaped torture at the hands of the DRC Secret Police. His previous court date in September was postponed at the last minute.
