Thank you for your support for Ntambwe Nkombe since he was detained and nearly deported in November 2017. Ntambwe will now appear in court later this month on Tuesday 25th September at the Immigration and Asylum First-tier Tribunal at IAC Bradford, Phoenix House, Rushton Avenue, Bradford BD3 7BH, when his lawyer will make the case to the Secretary of State for Ntambwe to remain in this country. The case will be heard at some point during the day after 10am. Friends, family and supporters will gather at the court at this time to watch the court proceedings and demonstrate their solidarity with Ntambwe to the court.

Ntambwe was detained by the Home Office at the beginning of November 2017 and nearly deported to his home country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he faces retribution for his ongoing opposition to the political regime. DRC is hostile to critics of the regime and they are often tortured and 'disappeared'. Ntambwe is a member of the Congolese resistance alliance APARECO and he has been seeking asylum in the UK since 2001, when he arrived in this country having escaped torture at the hands of the DRC Secret Police.
