We were finally able to get this issue resolved — after publishing the petition here, with continuous efforts from my side with both companies, and maybe a lot from you all as well. Each one of you played a very important role by raising your voice and sharing details with both companies "AMAZON PRIME VIDEO and XIAOMI" and they finally heard us and delivered the solution that was originally promised and advertised.

Once again, thank you so much for your love and support in this matter. I am truly sorry for giving this update after almost 6 years. Just like all of you, I am also a normal person and life gets busy with day-to-day responsibilities. Many times I remembered that I have to update all of you, but somehow wasn’t able to. Finally today, I decided to share this update with everyone because this victory belongs to all of us. It is our combined strength and undivided efforts that led to the final working solution.

Till this moment while sharing the update, 474 supporters have signed the petition. On Change.org, there is a unique ranking system called “Petition Strength” where ratings from 1 to 10 are given based on public support, impact, and true intention behind the issue. With your love and continuous support, we achieved a great score of 9/10 — a huge win for all of us!

Another proud moment is that if anyone searches on Google like “redmi note 8 pro amazon prime issue” which was a very common search when the problem existed in past our petition appears at the top, not only among articles and news updates, but even Google’s AI summary (OLD & NEW BOTH) highlights our issue in just a few lines. This global visibility was only possible because of your genuine support and worldwide reach including India, Canada, USA, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, UK and more than 20 different countries.

This clearly proves that the issue of video quality on 3rd-party apps like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix was not limited to a few users it was a global concern. You all did your part by sharing and raising this issue with the respective companies, and today we have the solution we all needed.

I can confirm that the issue was resolved in India approximately within 4–5 months after publishing the petition. Now, I request everyone across the world please share whether the issue is resolved in your country as of today.
