I'm not going to minimize the events of this week. 

I just wanted to give an update and say thank you to you all, so:

"Thank you!"

Thank you for caring! 

In this moment, it provides hope, preserves community, and creates connections.  This Bandshell counts, like it's past and its future.

At bottom, the only way I know to fight back against nihilism is to actively care about people and things outside of myself and to be grateful, but also to take steps to progress.

This petition is one example: We're protecting a tiny corner of our own existences whenever it's signed or shared.  And hilariously, this is one space where "sharing is caring" means you're really giving nothing away but getting so much back for Detroit.  So please continue to share this if you can! 

We've almost reached 40,000 signatures.

We're going to turn the corner on 2021 and the Bandshell, together!
