I have been emailing City Officials all day trying to stay on top of getting this all figured out! Included in the emails sent out are Athens Mayor Steve Patterson as well as the Director of Public Works and City Engineer, Robert Heady. Robert has responded wanting to hear from me and my concerns. I'm a little dumbfounded with the blanket response I've received and think that it's not the entire truth. If I'm told not to be on the land or have my animals near the land for at least 30-days, then told "but it's safe!", is it really safe? How many soil tests are done on this property to make sure there aren't toxins being released? I have so many unanswered questions.

I am also in contact with a reporter who wants to interview me more about this matter. I will update when there is more. I really appreciate everyone how has signed and shared this! Please, keep sharing and if you have family that live in the area, please make them aware! I will be going door to door this evening to talk to some of the elderly people who likely don't have Facebook/Internet and make sure they are aware of what's happening.
