I want to thank all of you for signing the petition and supporting the music venue... Last night Matildas was between a rock and a hard place... If Matildas spoke against the proposed project, our landlord of 18 years would evict us with 30 days notice with no chance of keeping the Hen House (stage for the concerts)... The other option was to support the developer's rezoning in exchange for the Hen House, the black house, and a general moving allowance... The Hen House and stage are the branding and most recognizable feature of the music venue and I wanted to keep them... We will be looking for a new location to move the houses and doing so will be at my expense. That may require a Go Fund Me... If the 5000 who signed the petition would donate at least $20. each we would have enough to move the houses and bring them up to city codes... That is all for now... I will keep you updated...
