Recently Berk dragons has made a permanent change with their human system. They were always going to make this change but it never really occurred to me how bad it exactly would be for me and other people who already had Roblox avatars made for the game. The idea of human customization for those who don't have Robux is a good idea, but the only issue is for the people who spent thousands of Robux making specific OC's and avatars for the game. I know this change was made to stop trollers, and people making non cannon OC's, but that's not really a good excuse in my opinion to just totally wipe Roblox avatars from the equation. Why do we even have game moderators then? Dragons troll just as much as people do, and I actually get bothered by dragons more than non cannon humans. We have a system to call mods if someone is misbehaving, the mods do a really good job already and have been for a long time now. I just don't see the issue when the issue is easily solvable with a simple call for a mod. I'm not saying that the new human system should be removed, I agree that people who can't afford OC's with Robux should be able to make avatars for free, but I also think that an option to use your Roblox avatar should also be there. I get that we can submit an ID for clothes and accessories in the Discord server, but there is just no way that it can all get added. As the game gets bigger, it will be harder to keep up with all the new UGC items and everything that people want added. I know as the game gets bigger it will also be harder to moderate, but that's just how it is for any game really, that's why some games have loads of mods. It will also be harder to pick through the catalog on Berks Dragons, we can't be adding thousands of accessories, its just not possible to keep up with it and seems like more work for the Devs/Mods rather than just allowing Roblox avatars as an option so they don't feel as pressured to add everything that people want rather than just having mods take care of the few trollers. Another downside is for the underaged players who can't join the discord server and submit ID's. What about them? They don't even know what's going on at all and maybe didn't even know humans were going to be changed in this way, and may have already spent all the Robux they had just to make an OC. I love berks dragons with all my heart. It's definitely my absolute favorite game and community on all of Roblox. But this recent change had made me almost not want to play it for the first time since I joined it in beta. I have several OC's that I spent thousands of Robux making and writing because I loved the game so much. I know I am not the only one who is this passionate about the game. This new update makes me feel like I only want to roleplay as a dragon, or not at all even. You can argue that I should have known, and we were told that using Roblox avatars wasn't permanent, but personally at the time I didn't care, I didn't care if I lost Robux, because this game was something I played everyday, all night long until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I just never realized how much it would actually effect my experience and general roleplaying options. This update also still limits the amount of creativity you can have with your human OC's. I am very aware this is still in development and will have many changes in the future, but I just don't see myself ever roleplaying as a human again regardless and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way. I really hope the Devs and Mods consider what I am saying because I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I would really appreciate using my Roblox avatar again, and having the option to.
