Hello all my feline loving friends!

Just wanted to bring all you good humans up to speed on where we're at with City Administration on allowing TNR in Sioux Falls.  We've had multiple meetings and several phone/email conversations with Animal Control and so far things are looking up!  Granted we still do not have any ordinances in place yet but we definitely haven't been told no.  This is something completely new to the area so administration is trepidatious, but the more they learn about TNR the more open they are becoming!  So as things currently sit, we are waiting on the city attorney to meet some leadership that is in midst of personnel changes, so once that is done I'm (optimistically) anticipating an email in regards to new ordinance in Sioux Falls.  When we met with the city lawyer, he made the comment that if this were to happen, he would want very specific ordinance regarding TNR, which is precisely what we're driving for.  We want to ensure that our community cats, rescuers, and trappers are implicitly protected by this movement.   

The public reception of this this TNR initiative has been amazing and we appreciate everyone's continued support. I hope to post another update soon that will outline what the new ordinances are!   Keep fighting the good fight and Spay/Neuter your pets!
