My friends and I, as Therians, face daily bullying at school. Despite reaching out to the school counselor, the situation has not improved. This experience is not unique to us; many Therians across the country are subject to similar prejudice and misunderstanding.

Therianthropy is a spiritual belief that an individual has a connection with an animal spirit. As part of our identity, we often wear gear such as tails or ears in public spaces - including schools - which unfortunately makes us targets for ridicule.

We believe it's time for change. We call on schools nationwide to educate students about diverse beliefs and identities like Therianthropy. By doing so, we can foster understanding and acceptance among students from an early age.

Furthermore, we urge institutions - both educational establishments and public spaces - to respect our right to express our identity by wearing our gear without fear of discrimination or harassment.
