Allow the Exhumation of Aaron Shane Key

The Issue

Aaron Shane Key "Rabbit" passed from this life on April 5, 2019. The official cause of death was listed as suicide by hanging.

His mother disagrees with that finding & after reading the following, you may as well.

On the day in question, Aaron was dropped off at a residence by his father at approximately 4:30 pm.

He would never see his son alive again.

Aaron asked that his father return & pick him up in about a half hour. Before he left to return to Aaron, he got a cellphone call telling him that Aaron was dead. When he arrived back at the residence, he found his son lying on the ground.

Neither Aaron's father nor law enforcement ever saw Aaron hanging.

Crime scene photos show Aaron lying on his left side in the fetal position. There was a rope around his neck loosely. He had a cut above his right eye & the right side of his face showed signs of trauma. He had smeared blood across his face.

There were multiple people present at the crime scene. Law enforcement never separated those witnesses - they were questioned as a group. Law enforcement never went inside the residence to investigate. Allegedly, the responding officers led those present through their official statements.

At the funeral home, Aarons mother looked at the body of her son as it lay awaiting preparation. She saw so no ligature marks, no rope burns, no abrasions. The mortician stated that in 25 years he had never seen a hanging like this.

When his mother went to the scene of the event, she retrieved the rope that the police had left at the scene that her 6'6" son had supposedly been hung from. She measured it to be 47". With the remainder around Aaron's neck had approximately 4" sticking through the knot. Not enough rope for Aaron to hang by his neck.  She also retrieved the hat that her son was wearing & it was soaked through with blood.

Now, I want to take you back in time. 8 days before the incident, Aaron called his mother distraught. He told her, "Mom, I think I've got myself into something that I can't get out of." She of course told him to leave, to just pack his stuff and go. He replied, "The cops won't let me leave." Aaron confided in his mother that he had been working as a confidential informant (CI) for law enforcement & he was to report information on the subjects who were living at the residence where he ultimately died. He told her that if anything should happen to him, she should contact a certain detective.

There is so much more to Rabbit's story. This condensed version is just to help you understand why Aaron's mother wants her son's body exhumed & re-examined by an independent pathologist.

Thank you for your time & consideration.
