In today's digital age, mobile phones play a pivotal role in the education, safety, and emotional well-being of students. Research by The London School of Economics and Political Science shows that, contrary to popular belief, the use of mobile phones in schools can positively impact learning outcomes (LSE, 2015). Therefore, the policy forbidding students to have access to their mobile phones during school hours is outdated and may impair their learning experience.

Moreover, allowing students access to their phones could facilitate their safety. Parents would be able to reach their children during emergencies, easing concerns about safety. Finally, considering the rise of mental health issues among teenagers, phones can act as coping mechanisms during times of intense stress, providing relief and comfort.

We respectfully request the state and school authority to reconsider their stance on the usage of mobile phones during school hours. By revising this policy, our school could stay updated with the digital age, encourage creative learning and ensure the well-being of our peers. Please sign this petition to support our cause.
