This Sunday, October 9th, 1:30pm, you are invited to join us for our free panel discussion event at The Wild Detectives. For those not already familiar, The Wild Detectives is a bookstore and coffee bar in Dallas' Bishop Arts District. The purpose of this event is to:

• Create an opportunity for transit supporters in DFW to get together for drinks & conversation,
• Educate the general public on the value of public transit in Texas, and
• Answer all your questions about our campaign for free fare for students.

Whether you're interested in learning more about the state of buses and trains in North Texas, have questions you'd like to ask us, or just want to drink tasty beverages with cool people, we'd love it if you'd join us!

Last Tuesday was our third time going to the monthly DART board meeting as a group to make public comment. Once again, we filled an entire row of seats with our Sunrise Dallas t-shirts; we made sure to sit front-and-center to make sure the board felt our presence! The cover photo of this announcement is the group photo we took after we spoke.

The upcoming October 25th board meeting might be the most important one yet; I don't want to make any promises until we know for sure, but there's a chance the pilot program we've campaigned for will finally be on the agenda. When that happens, we'll need as many supporters as possible to attend that meeting! I'll send out another update as soon as we have certainty about the timeline.
