My name is Kim Jisena, a professional working in Information Technology (IT). Every day, the quality of internet access impacts my work, my effectiveness, and my ability to deliver superior service to my clients. Our current providers in Tanzania charge high fees, yet often fail to deliver a reliable service which hinders us greatly. Most of each day is wasted battling slow internet speeds rather than delivering value for my clients. Quality internet access should not be a luxury, especially in a world that is significantly moving more remote and online.

Starlink, a project by SpaceX, has been reshaping the landscape of internet accessibility globally. The satellite internet service provider is already serving customers in several countries with large satisfaction rates thanks to the higher access speed and reliability it offers.

In the interest of affirming our nation's commitment to bolstering its digital economy and ensuring reliable internet for all, I urge the Tanzanian government to negotiate with Starlink to extend its satellite Internet services to Tanzania.

Not only will faster and more reliable internet service improve living conditions, it will also improve the Tanzanian economy and job market by encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation, creating endless possibilities.
