We are asking for community support to allow the temporary use of solar-powered, low-impact field lights at Pershing Middle School in San Carlos so Crusaders soccer players can continue training on their home field during the shorter fall and winter days.

As daylight hours decrease, our players are forced to leave their home field simply because there isn’t enough natural light to safely practice. Temporary solar-powered lights would provide a practical, environmentally friendly solution—without permanent construction or changes to the school

The lights would be used only during designated training times with a curfew of 8:30pm and in a way that does not interfere with school or neighborhood activities. 

This is about more than soccer. It’s about giving local youth a safe, consistent place to stay active, build teamwork, develop confidence, and continue participating in a sport they love—right here in their own community.
