I am overwhelmed by the widespread support of this petition. I never dreamed we would receive so many signatures in such a short period of time. Thank you for that. 

Unfortunately, the DIPC seems to have very little regard for our opinion. The 24 quarterfinalists were announced a few days back. The Honens Competition has followed the atrocious example of the DIPC and has also banned all Russian pianists from their contest. We therefore must keep the pressure on!

I encourage you all to tag the DIPC on social media, to email them directly, and to speak to people who may be closely tied to the administration of this competition. Many of us are very well connected within the classical music world. Email John O‘Conor, the artistic director and jury chariman of the competition. His official faculty email addresses are readily available through Google.
