How many of you have watched a storm approaching? You hear the low rumbling in the distance, feel and see a change in the sky; you just know something is about to happen. Most would reach for their phone and check the radar, seeing what the potential impact will be and seeing what actions they need to take. The same goes for pollinators! We see, hear, and feel the impact of pollinator health in our ecosystems both locally and abroad. We are not separate from nature, but a part of it. As we look for solutions locally, we should also take time to see what storms are brewing elsewhere and how they might impact us locally. As we have all seen, a storm may be far in the distance one moment, then ravaging us the next. Let's take a moment to look at our neighbors to the North and see the issues they face. Sure, it's "all the way in Canada", but this is right at our doorstep and we should take steps now to prevent this not only in Wilton, but our country as a whole.
