ALLOW QUICKIE DELIVERY CO TO OPERATE ESCOOTERS ON CAL POLY'S CAMPUS

The Issue

Dear Fellow Mustangs,

My name is Will Tregenza, a 4th-year business student and co-founder of Quickie Delivery Co. Today, I'm reaching out for your support. Quickie's mission to provide fast, sustainable, and safe delivery service on campus is facing a significant challenge due to the recent ban on e-scooters.

Quickie is more than just a business. We're a collective of dedicated Cal Poly students and alumni committed to enhancing campus life. Our service offers a convenient, affordable, and eco-friendly alternative for getting your favorite snacks and essentials right to your doorstep.

We're petitioning for Cal Poly to allow Quickie to continue our e-scooter deliveries under strict safety protocols. Here’s why your support matters:

Unmatched Safety Standards: Quickie prioritizes safety above all. Our riders undergo thorough training, wear high-visibility gear, and follow all traffic regulations to maintain our stellar safety record.

E-Bike Equality: E-bikes are welcome on campus, yet e-scooters, which provide similar benefits and pose comparable risks, are not. Fairness dictates that e-scooters should be allowed under the same guidelines.

Campus Benefits: Our service reduces the need for cars, cutting down traffic and contributing to a safer, less congested campus. By supporting Quickie, you're advocating for a greener Cal Poly.

We respectfully urge the university administration to reconsider the e-scooter ban. We are confident that through cooperation, we can uphold our service's benefits while addressing any concerns about campus safety and mobility.

Your signature will show that the student body stands with Quickie. Together, let's keep our campus vibrant, safe, and sustainable.

Thank you for your time and support. Let's make a difference for Cal Poly.

With gratitude,

Will Tregenza & the Quickie Delivery Co. Team
