The Issue

The Piedmont Mountain Bike Team supports the high school and middle school mountain bike teams in Piedmont, CA.  Consisting exclusively of PHS and PMS students, we strive to get more kids on bikes and build strong minds, bodies and character through cycling.

As part of our team, we have a team trailer that is 10'x20' that is used to store team gear that travels with us from race to race.  Additionally, we occasionally park it around town to build awareness of the team and recruit new athletes.

Currently, the team pays $125/month to store the trailer at a facility in Richmond.

We humbly ask the broader city, school district and various facilities management organizations within the City of Piedmont to provide one parking space for the trailer.  The team is happy to pay market rate rent for the parking space.  Access is only needed during regular business hours and can be scheduled in advance.  It typically only leaves storage around 10 times per year.  In exchange, the team agrees to maintain insurance on the trailer, keep the trailer in serviceable condition, and agree to any other reasonable term imposed by the city.

As an all volunteer coaching and organizational staff, we operate on a very lean budget and would like to ensure that every dollar the team raises goes to support our mission of more kids on bikes.

Thank you for your consideration!
