I have no kids and I see my adorable cats as my children. I like to bring them around to meet friends - both humans and fur babies. I have many friends who feel the same way as me that if Singapore is to be seen as First World status, our MRT trains and buses should allow pets small enough to fit into a carrier or small cage.

As a truly first world country, we should adopt a “pets are people” mentality, especially now where we see more couples choosing pets as their family rather than having children. Additionally, there has been a heightened level of mental anxiety among the people, especially after the Covid pandemic. Pets alleviate anxiety and provide emotional support.
