We the People are asking the Governor to create a law allowing the State of Illinois to be an open carry state. Hijackings and gun violence are at an all-time high in Chicago and across the State. As concerned citizens, we believe that Illinois would be a safer environment if you allowed us to defend ourselves against these brazen attacks. This will actually give those criminals a reason to think twice about their actions. Together with this law, we can form a BETTER CHICAGO and SAFER STATE for our children and families.
