For the past few weeks, we’ve been reading in the news about hospitals being overwhelmed and nurses overworked in NSW and Victoria. In fact, NSW is even turning to other states to recruit nurses to help cope with the predicted peak in COVID-19 cases. We want to help, and we need the politicians’ attention today

Please, click on this link to tweet at Health Ministers to fast-track our licensing process so we can ease the burden of our nurses

Recently, retired nurses have been asked to return to work and other nurses are being upskilled for ICU work. Among us, there are nurses with years of experience in intensive care, who are ready to start serving the community if given the chance.

We are in a crisis, a pandemic - we need fast, flexible solutions for things like licensing which shouldn’t come in the way of the sick getting care.

Please click here to tweet at our leaders and ask them to take immediate action to fast-track licensing and find a temporary alternative to OSCE
