The humanitarian crisis in the West Bank and Gaza Strip has reached alarming levels. Millions of Palestinians are struggling to meet their basic needs, as access to essential services like healthcare, food, and water continues to deteriorate. The ongoing conflict and extended blockade have exacerbated the dire situation, leaving people, especially children, in urgent need of assistance.

According to recent reports from international organizations such as the United Nations, majority of the Palestinian population is in need of humanitarian aid. Hospitals are running out of medical supplies, food shortages are becoming increasingly common, and more than 96% of water in Gaza is undrinkable due to salination and pollution. This mainly affects children, some of which are currently surviving on nothing but salt to keep them alive, sleeping with rocks on their stomachs to make them feel full.

The international community has a moral and legal obligation to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in need. Humanitarian aid should not be a privilege but a right, as it is crucial for the survival and dignity of people living in conflict zones.

We call upon governments, international bodies, and aid organizations to do everything in their power to facilitate the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid to the West Bank and Gaza. This includes negotiating ceasefires, removing bureaucratic hurdles, and ensuring safe passage for aid workers.

بلغت الأزمة الإنسانية في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة مستوياتٍ مُقلقة. يُعاني ملايين الفلسطينيين من أجل تلبية احتياجاتهم الأساسية، في ظلّ تدهور مستمر في الوصول إلى الخدمات الضرورية كالرعاية الصحية والغذاء والماء. وقد فاقم الصراع المستمر والحصار المُطوّل الوضع المُزري، تاركين الناس، ولا سيما الأطفال، في حاجة ماسة للمساعدة.

ووفقًا لتقارير حديثة صادرة عن منظمات دولية كالأمم المتحدة، فإنّ غالبية السكان الفلسطينيين بحاجة إلى مساعدات إنسانية. فالمستشفيات تُعاني من نقص حاد في الإمدادات الطبية، ونقص الغذاء بات مُتكررًا، وأكثر من 96% من المياه في غزة غير صالحة للشرب بسبب التملّح والتلوث. ويؤثر هذا الوضع بشكل رئيسي على الأطفال، الذين يعيش بعضهم حاليًا على الملح فقط للبقاء على قيد الحياة، وينامون وبطونهم مُغطاة بالحجارة ليشعروا بالشبع.

يقع على عاتق المجتمع الدولي واجب أخلاقي وقانوني لضمان وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى مُحتاجيها. فالمساعدات الإنسانية ليست امتيازًا بل حقًا، إذ إنّها ضرورية لبقاء وكرامة الناس الذين يعيشون في مناطق النزاع.

ندعو الحكومات والهيئات الدولية ومنظمات الإغاثة إلى بذل قصارى جهدها لتيسير وصول المساعدات الإنسانية إلى الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة دون عوائق. ويشمل ذلك التفاوض على وقف إطلاق النار، وإزالة العقبات البيروقراطية، وضمان مرور آمن للعاملين في مجال الإغاثة.
