The Issue

Gina is more than just a pet; she is an integral part of our work family in St. Post Acute. For the past 11 years, she has brought joy, companionship, and a unique warmth to our workplace alongside her owner, Patty, who has dedicated 47 faithful years to our team. Patty has always been accompanied by one of her beloved companions. The arrival of Gina has been a constant source of delight not just for Patty, but for all of us who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Gina is not your ordinary canine; she has fur, yes, and she's small, but she has an enormous heart that resonates with everyone she meets. The residents love her dearly, and she has become an irreplaceable member of our community. Her presence has been therapeutic for many of us, offering comfort in stressful times and creating an atmosphere of familial warmth and acceptance.

Now, with the possibility of Gina no longer being allowed to accompany Patty to work, Patty faces the harsh choice of taking early retirement. This is not a decision she wants to make, nor is it one we want her to make. Allowing Gina to continue coming to work means preserving the spirit and unity of our team.

We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this decision. By allowing Gina to stay, we maintain the cherished dynamic that has benefited so many—not just in productivity, but in fostering a humane work environment.

Please join us in asking for Gina to be given the official permission she deserves, allowing Patty to carry on with her invaluable service as part of our family. Sign this petition and help ensure that Gina remains a beloved member of our team!
