The Issue

As a student in the St. Vrain Valley School District in Colorado, I am facing difficulties in keeping up with my grades. I'm deeply concerned about my academic future, which leads to overwhelming stress and mental health challenges.

I believe that incorporating engaging educational tools, like Minecraft Education and other interactive platforms such as Roblox Studio (whatever you do do not unblock the non-coding website)  and UFEN, onto our school iPads will make a significant difference for students like myself. Not only do these applications provide an engaging and innovative approach to learning, but they also foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.

Educational games like Minecraft have proven to enhance students' ability to grasp complex subjects, from history to computer programming, thereby supporting a more dynamic and engaging curriculum. These tools can revitalize the learning environment, decreasing anxiety and depression caused by monotonous and overly rigid routines, which, unfortunately, only include a sparse 30-minute break for lunch or recess.

According to research by the American Psychological Association, student engagement is directly linked to better performance and well-being. Games that constructively integrate learning objectives can help students feel more motivated and less stressed about their studies, ensuring a balanced approach to education.

By equipping our iPads with these educational platforms, the district can redefine how learning takes place, offering us opportunities to excel while improving overall mental well-being. Encouraging breaks that are refreshing and educational can transform our school experience positively.

Please join me in petitioning the St. Vrain Valley School District to allow these educational games on school iPads. Together, we can create a more balanced and enriching learning environment for all students. Sign this petition if you also believe that adding these educational tools can make a real difference in students' lives.
