Yesterday, Peter, the border collie who is the face of the campaign, traveled up the Brisbane River on the Brisbane City Cat (ferry). He loved being on the boat, the staff and passengers loved him being on there, he was extremely well-behaved and ecstatically happy to be able to travel with his owner Patricia (me). 

I asked the staff how the trial was going. All staff reported that so far it had been a huge success and that allowing the dogs on the ferries was great for the dogs, the owners, the passengers and staff.

Fingers crossed the Queensland state government and Brisbane City Council permanently allows dogs to travel with their owners on Brisbane ferries. 

The trial started on Monday 9 December 2019 and ends on Sunday 8 March 2020.
