Allow Chris Brown to tour Australia!

Allow Chris Brown to tour Australia!

Att:
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese
Immigration Minister Andrew Giles
In 2015 a decision was made to reject Artist Chris Brown’s Visa into Australia to perform his "One Hell of a Night" tour.
This decision left fans devastated! Now in 2023 it has been 8 years since fans have been able to see Chris Brown tour in Australia.
Chris’ Visa was rejected based on character grounds due to a domestic violence incident involving Singer Rihanna back in 2009 when Chris was 19.
Chris immediately took all accountability for the incident, served his time and honoured his probation.
It wasn't until the "Welcome to my Life" documentary aired that we found out, Chris was actually the one who got physically attacked to begin with during the altercation.
Chris opened up about his pain and how he has grown from the experience after 8 long years of dealing with the media's scrutiny.
To this day, one mistake he made as a teenager has continually been used against him with no opportunity for him to prove he is not that same teenager who made that terrible mistake.
Chris unlike other Artists both from abroad and from our own Country has not been allowed to perform in Australia since. Yet we have allowed Artists like YG and Offset who have both served time back in, we allow Media Personalities eg. Wayne Carey to work in a position of Stature on our TV screens, despite his well known Domestic Violence background.
If the reason is based upon character and we are clearly giving people like Wayne Carey a second chance, then we absolutely owe a man who made a single mistake over 14 years ago the right to the same opportunity.
We hope you can be apart of the change to see the good in people and see Chris for the family oriented, kind hearted, generous, loving and good natured person that he is.
As fans of Chris Brown, his music has always been there for us during life's challenging times. He is a living example of a warrior, never letting anything get in the way of his ability to live up to his full potential.
This teaches us that anything you dream for is possible just as long as you believe and put in the work.
We urge the Australian Government and Department of Immigration to approve Chris Brown’s Visa in order for him to come and perform in Australia.
There have been no further incidents to jeopardise his Visa approval based on Character grounds. He has freely travelled to other countries to perform. He's proven over the course of 8 years that he is of Good Character.
As fans we don't want that 2011 tour to be the last we see of him in Australia.
We understand our Minister at the time let the world know that we are not afraid to say "NO" and without knowing the full story that was understandable.
However now is the time to move forward and forgive.
Please allow him to tour Australia!
Please Reconsider,
Yours Sincerely, Chris Brown’s Australian Fans
